ABOUT THE SIG

INNOVATION IN WHEELCHAIRS AND MOBILITY AIDS

The Wheelchair Alliance Special Interest Group (SIG) for Innovation aims to support the Wheelchair Alliance in the delivery of its strategy by considering wheelchair innovation that supports expansion of the types of wheelchairs and suppliers linked to NHS provision. Innovation should lead to better choice and outcomes for wheelchair users and the best use of public sector finance.

WORK SO FAR

Since its inception, the Special Interest Group for Innovation has helped the Wheelchair Alliance immensely in its work with wheelchair users. In helping with the creation of the Quality Framework and informing our reports, the SIG has been a hugely successful force for good.
